Project Background

Health is the foundation of life. Having a healthy body is the greatest wealth. People are increasingly focused on physical well-being, leading to a surge in demand for gyms and intensifying competition. Gyms are constantly upgrading, with facilities emphasizing spatial design and member experience. Besides professional fitness equipment, clear visual content and a positive workout atmosphere have become crucial for creating a differentiated experience for gyms.

MileStrong completed an indoor LED display project for a gym. The client wanted to improve the visual appeal of the training area with a large LED screen, while also meeting the needs for class playback, brand promotion, and daily content display.

After completion, the LED display became a significant visual element in the gym space, providing members with a more intuitive visual experience during their workouts.

Client Needs

For this renovation project, the client’s primary concerns were display size and display quality.

The existing display was too small. With an increase in the number of trainees, members in the back rows had difficulty seeing the class clearly. This was especially problematic during group workouts, requiring instructors to frequently remind members to observe the movements, negatively impacting the overall training experience. Furthermore, the gym itself has a large training space. The client wanted to install an LED display that matched the wall size.

In addition to displaying regular classes, the client also wanted the screen to be usable for gym brand promotions, member activities, and other dynamic content displays.

Project Implementation

After clarifying the requirements, the technical team planned the size and installation method of the LED display screen based on the site space, viewing distance, and installation location.

The screen was installed in a prominent visual position within the training area. Members can directly see the complete LED image upon entering the training area.

During installation, the team focused on the overall harmony between the screen and the wall. After installation, the LED display screen maintains consistency with the surrounding fitness equipment and space design, without occupying excessive training area.

Following the hardware installation, the display system was also tested, including image display, playback content, and system operation.

Project Applications

Group Class Display

In yoga, Pilates, dance, and other classes, instructors can use large LED screens to display relevant course content and demonstrations. Compared to smaller displays, the larger screen covers a wider viewing area. Even members standing at the back of the training area can easily observe the screen content.

This transforms the LED display from a mere visual device into an auxiliary tool in classroom teaching.

Fitness Content Display

Outside of class time, the screen can display exercise-related videos, fitness knowledge, and training content.

Gyms can change the content displayed according to different time periods, ensuring continuous screen use.

For example, during peak hours, exercise-themed content can be displayed; during member activities, event information and brand promotional content can be shown.

Brand Promotion

LED displays can also serve as brand showcases. Gyms can create dynamic visuals of their logos, promotional videos, and member activities and display them on the LED screen.

Compared to traditional static posters, dynamic content is more eye-catching and easier to adjust later according to marketing plans.

Project Results

After completion, the gym’s visual center is more prominent.

• More Adaptable Screen Size: The previously small display screen was upgraded to a large LED screen, resolving the issue of unclear viewing for some members.
• Quick Content Switching: The LED display can switch content according to different needs. A single screen can simultaneously handle course playback, fitness content display, and brand promotion.
• A More Dynamic Training Space: Exercise videos, course visuals, and dynamic visual content transformed the previously relatively monotonous wall into a visually appealing digital display area. The integration of the LED screen with lighting, music, and fitness equipment also makes the entire training environment more dynamic.

Project Summary

This gym LED display project was a display upgrade tailored to actual usage needs. The client required more than just a larger screen; they needed a display device that could integrate seamlessly into the training space and truly serve daily operations.Upon completion, the LED display simultaneously met the needs for course playback, exercise content display, and brand promotion, while also improving the overall visual appeal of the gym.
