How to Choose an LED Display for a VR Experience Center?

📅 July 20, 2026

Recently, MileStrong is designing an LED display solution for a VR experience center for a client in the UK entertainment industry. The project covers approximately 550 square meter. And it is positioned as an immersive VR experience center for children and families. The overall space includes three main functional areas: a reception hall, a VR experience area, and a rest area.

Therefore, several specific requirements were raised at the initial design stage:

  • How to attract visitors’ attention immediately at the entrance

A large welcome LED screen is required to show brand promotional videos, game trailers and event notifications. Thus, it create a highly technological atmosphere upon entry.

  • How to deepen immersion

While players wear VR headsets, parents and other visitors should be able to view real-time gameplay footage on large LED screens.

  • Visual comfort for children

Given the young age of visitors, the client demanded fine-grained, soft-color imagery. And they should be suitable for close-range viewing and mobile phone photography.

  • Long-term stable operation

The venue will operate over 10 hours daily. The displays must sustain prolonged stable performance and easy and low-cost post-installation maintenance.

  • Consistent overall aesthetic style

The display effect of the three areas needs to be consistent to form a complete brand visual image, while reserving space for future content upgrades and system expansion.

Based on the custome’s requirements, MileStrong developed a complete LED display solution tailored to each functional area of the VR experience center.

The entrance adopts MileStrong MS series indoor LED displays with a P1.86 pixel pitch. Equipped with die-cast aluminum cabinets and high refresh rate, it can deliver sharp, delicate welcome visuals. The VR experience zone also uses MS series displays with P2.5 pixel pitch. This configuration balances outstanding visual performance for viewing distances of 3–5 meters and project budget. A 3m × 1.7m information LED screen is installed in the waiting lounge to broadcast queuing updates and event introductions.

The whole system is powered by NovaStar control system with receiving cards and synchronous playback scheme, enabling unified multi-screen management, fast content switching and remote maintenance. All screens feature front-access design for convenient post-installation inspection, and support stable 24/7 operation to meet the long-hour running demands of commercial entertainment venues.

As a professional LED display manufacturer, MileStrong delivers one-stop LED display solutions covering scheme design, product selection and installation deployment, customized to match the spatial layout, operation model and budget of any VR experience hall.
