US Conference Hall LED Podium Project: Integrated Digital Lectern Solution

Project Overview

In 2026, MileStrong provided an integrated LED display solution for a corporate conference hall in the United States. The client was the end-user; the conference hall is primarily used for corporate annual meetings, industry forums, business presentations, product launches and internal training sessions, and can accommodate approximately 300 attendees.

The client’s existing lectern primarily relied on static nameplates and separate display devices to present meeting and guest information. As the number of meetings and events increased, the client sought to integrate display functionality directly into the lectern, enabling the dynamic presentation of meeting themes, guest information and brand content whilst ensuring the lectern remained fully functional for speakers.

Following an on-site needs assessment, MileStrong selected an integrated LED lectern for the project and was responsible for product supply, international transport, on-site installation and system commissioning.

Project Requirements: Integrating the Podium into the Conference Display System

In corporate conference halls, the lectern is typically situated at the visual centre of the stage and is a focal point for the audience. Consequently, the client does not wish for the LED screen to be merely attached to the traditional lectern; rather, they want the display area to form a unified whole with the lectern’s structure.

The project primarily set out four requirements:

  • Dynamic Speaker & Conference Information Display

Capable of quickly switching between conference themes, presentation topics, speakers’ names and titles, and other details according to different agendas.

  • Visual Integration with the Main Conference Display

The podium LED screen must coordinate with the main stage display system to avoid any noticeable visual disconnection between the different screens.

  • Space-Efficient Podium Design

The LED display area must not obstruct the speaker’s ability to stand, operate equipment or lay out materials. Power and signal cables must also be routed appropriately.

  • Reliable Performance for Long-Term Use

The equipment must be suitable for frequent conference use, whilst taking into account heat dissipation, maintenance and future content updates.

Integrated Lectern LED Display Solution

Based on the client’s conference hall layout and viewing distances, the project utilizes the MileStrong all-in-one LED lectern display.

This product integrates the LED display area, lectern structure and functional spaces into a single design. Compared to adding a display screen to the exterior of a traditional lectern, this approach reduces the space occupied by additional equipment and ensures the display area harmonizes with the lectern’s overall design.

The project utilizes a P1.8 LED display solution, primarily for the display of text, participant information, brand logos and dynamic visual content in close-range conference settings. In a conference context, the smaller pixel pitch enhances the clarity of text and detailed content, making it easier for the audience to recognize the information on screen.

Key Technical Considerations

  • Integrated Display and Structural Design

The LED screen on the podium must strike a balance between display quality and ergonomic design. During the project’s implementation, MileStrong adjusted the position of the podium and the display area in accordance with the on-site space, ensuring the LED screen was at an appropriate viewing height whilst not hindering the speaker’s ability to stand and operate normally.

  • High-Resolution Display for Close Viewing

As the viewing distance between the audience and the podium in the conference hall is relatively short, the project placed particular emphasis on text display and the rendering of fine details. The P2.5 display solution meets the requirements for the clear display of information such as conference themes, names and job titles.

  • Integrated Power and Signal Management

Power, signal and control equipment needed to be concealed within the podium structure, with internal space planned rationally to minimize the impact of exposed cabling on the conference hall’s overall visual appearance.

  • Easy Maintenance and Reliable Operation

As conference equipment requires long-term, stable operation, the project took into account maintenance requirements for LED modules, power supplies and control systems during the installation process. In the event of display anomalies, specific faulty components can be inspected and rectified, thereby minimizing disruption to normal conference activities.

MileStrong: From Production and Transportation to Installation & Commissioning

This project involves not only the supply of products, but also cross-border transport and on-site technical implementation.

MileStrong completed the production and packaging of the products in accordance with the project delivery schedule and was responsible for coordinating transport from the factory to the project site in the United States. Upon arrival of the equipment, the LED screen on the lectern was installed in accordance with the actual installation conditions in the conference hall, and the LED display system, control system and relevant signal connections were commissioned.

During the final testing phase, checks were carried out on the display quality, image stability, content switching and system operational status to ensure that the equipment could meet the daily operational requirements of the conference hall.

Project Results

Upon completion of the project, the traditional lectern has been upgraded into a digital conference terminal that integrates presentation functions, LED displays, conference information display and brand promotion.

During various conference events, staff can quickly change the screen content in line with the agenda. When a speaker takes the stage, the lectern’s LED screen can display their name, title and presentation topic; during corporate events or product launches, it can switch between the brand logo, product visuals and thematic imagery.

For conference photography and live streaming, the speaker’s details displayed on the lectern screen naturally appear in the frame, enabling both on-site and online audiences to identify the speaker more readily.
