What Are The Common Maintenance Methods and Precautions for LED Display Screens?
Ⅰ. Precautions for the Usage Environment
1. The working environment temperature range is -20℃ to t≤50℃, and the working environment humidity range is 10% to 90% RH.
2. Avoid using or storing in high-temperature, high-humidity, and high-acid/alkali/salt environments.
3. Keep away from flammable items, gases and dust when in use.
4. During transportation, avoid strong collisions and collisions with sharp objects.
5. When the ambient temperature is too high or the heat dissipation conditions are poor, it is important not to keep the screen on for a long time.
6. LED display screens with humidity exceeding the specified limit will cause corrosion of components and even short circuits when powered on, resulting in permanent damage.
7. Water and conductive metals such as iron powder must not enter the screen body. LED display screens should be placed in an environment with as little dust as possible. Excessive dust can affect the display effect, and at the same time, too much dust can cause damage to the circuit. If water enters for any reason, please immediately cut off the power. Do not use it until all components inside the screen are completely dry.
8. Try not to place fish tanks, plants, flowers or other items that may cause a damp environment beside the screen.
Ⅱ. Precautions for Turning On and Off the Screen
1. Turn on the screen: First, turn on the control computer to ensure it operates normally, and then turn on the large LED display screen.
2. Turn off the screen: First, turn off the power of the LED screen body, close the control software, and then correctly shut down the computer. If you turn off the computer first but not the display screen, it will cause high bright spots on the screen and burn out the tubes, with serious consequences.
3. The interval between turning on and off the screen should be more than 5 minutes.
4. Avoid turning on the screen in a completely white state, as this is the maximum power state at which the inrush current to the entire power distribution system is the greatest.
Ⅲ. Precautions for Power Supply
1. The LED module is powered by DC +5V (operating voltage: 4.2-5.2V), and AC power supply is prohibited. The positive and negative terminals of the power supply must not be reversed. (Note: Once reversed, it will burn out the product and even cause a serious fire.)
2. Power supply voltage for the LED display screen: 220V±10%, frequency: 50HZ±5%;
3. The safety ground contact is reliable, the isolation between the ground wire and the neutral wire is reliable, and the power supply should be kept away from high-power electrical equipment.
4. If any abnormal manifestations such as short circuit, tripping, burning wire or smoking are found, repeated power-on tests should not be conducted. Instead, the problem should be identified promptly.
5. Keep the power supply stable and ensure proper grounding protection to prevent lightning strikes. Do not use it under adverse natural conditions, especially during strong thunderstorms.
6. The power supply for the large screen must be provided step by step, as the maximum power state of the entire screen will have an impact on the entire power distribution system.
7. The LED display screen is not allowed to play the full white picture at the highest brightness for more than half an hour to avoid excessive current, overheating of the power cord, damage to the LED lights, and affecting the service life of the display screen. It is recommended to mainly play dynamic videos.
8. During the use of LED display products, the power should not be continuously turned on and off. There should be at least a one-minute interval between the two operations.
9. The internal circuits of the large LED display screen are strictly prohibited for non-professionals to touch to avoid electric shock or damage to the circuits. If any problem occurs, please have it inspected and repaired by professionals.
IV. Cleaning Precautions
1. Regular cleaning and maintenance: The large LED full-color display screen is exposed to the outdoor environment for a long time, including wind, sun and rain. Even if the indoor LED display screen has been exposed for a long time, a lot of dust and rain marks will accumulate on the screen. This requires regular and timely cleaning to prevent affecting the viewing effect.
2. If cleaning the surface of the module, please use a soft-bristled brush and gently scrub it. It is strictly prohibited to clean the surface of the LED module with any liquid substances, otherwise the LED beads may be damaged.
3. Correct cleaning: The surface of the large LED display screen can be wiped with alcohol, or dusted with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Do not directly wipe with a damp cloth.
V. Moisture-proofing and Storage Requirements
1. Storage temperature requirements: Ambient temperature -40℃≤t≤60℃. After opening the package, LED products must be stored in an environment with a temperature <30℃ and humidity <60%.
2. According to the environmental conditions where the display screen body and control part are located, avoid insect bites. If necessary, place rat poison.
3. LED display screens should not be turned off for a long time. In a high-humidity environment, if the screen has not been used for more than 3 days, each time the screen is turned on, a preheating lighting method should be adopted: preheat to 30%-50% of the brightness for 4-8 hours first, then adjust to the normal brightness (80%-100%) to turn on the screen, so as to remove the moisture and ensure there are no abnormalities during use. If the screen has not been used for more than 7 days, each time it is lit up, a preheating lighting method should be adopted: preheat it to 30%-50% brightness for more than 12 hours first, and then adjust it to the normal brightness (80%-100%) to light up the screen, so as to remove the moisture and ensure there are no abnormalities during use.
VI. Precautions
Proper maintenance of full-color LED large screens plays a crucial role in extending the service life of the display screen and ensuring its normal operation. The LED large screen needs to be checked regularly to ensure it is working properly. Any damaged circuits should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. The main control computer and related equipment should be placed in an air-conditioned and dust-free room to ensure good ventilation, heat dissipation and stable operation of the computer. The internal circuits of the screen are strictly prohibited from being touched by non-professionals to avoid electric shock or damage to the circuits. If any problem occurs, it should be inspected and repaired by a professional.
